A great little restaurant located in the center of Puerto Viejo with a charming atmosphere serving a wide variety of food with a Thai flare. Even when the town is quite you will always find the restaurant attracting tourists and expats. Be careful of Happy hour the cocktails can soon catch up with you. A great place to start any evening

@t E’s Restaurant

Located inside Rocking J’s Hostel just a short walk from town is @t E’s Restaurant. Unlike food you would normally associate with a hostel @t E’s has managed to serve gourmet food at Backpacker prices. This is a great place to come and meet people, listen to good music and exchange traveling stories with other backpackers. Live music every Friday night.

Cafe Viejo

Italian run restaurant in the heart of Puerto Viejo with a very professional service offering a wide range of food cooked to perfection. The restaurant is one of the more expensive restaurants in town but worth every penny a great restaurant if you are looking to impress or want good food at European standard.

The Mission

Just a few meters past the main bus stop of Puerto Viejo is The Mission, overlooking the sands of black beach. The soda is very popular and offers a good Casado with either chicken or fish that will set you back around $4. Great for the budget traveler.

De Paseo

Almost hidden in the grounds of Cut Back is the restaurant de Paseo a very cute restaurant run by an Argentinian couple with the tables and chairs on top of the sand giving you the impression you truly are in a beach town.
